Census is organized in steps that require preparatory work before executing the complete enumeration of the population and the use of data collected. On the other hand , the INS makes a qualitative shift in the preparation and implementation of the work of RGPH accordance with the principles and recommendations of the United Nations and international organizations in implementation of censuses.
Calendar of the General Census
- July 10, 2013
The delivration decree instructing the National Institute of Statistics of the completion of this process and the establishment of a national committee and regional committees.
- December 3, 2013
The organization of an information day (media ) for the special census of population and housing, and the first meeting of the national committee.
- April 7, 2014
Starting the training of agents Enumerators and supervisors .
- April 15, 2014
Launch of the information mate.
- April 23, 2014
Starting the census day ( reference )

First Census results
- April 4, 2015
First Census results based on a sample of questionnaires (20%). Results will be reltaed to demographic, educational, and economic characteristics of the population and the characteristics of housing and living conditions of households
- From May to December , 2015
Final Census results by administrative unit: governorates, delegations, communes
